KCTA was founded in 1970 to represent the cable industry, which began as a way to bring television to homes in remote areas that were unable to receive conventional over-the-air broadcast signals. Over the years, KCTA has provided its member companies with a single, unified voice on issues affecting the cable and telecommunications industry in Kansas. KCTA is proud of the role the cable industry has played in development of competition for video, high-speed Internet and telephone services in Kansas.
The Kansas cable industry’s decade-long blaze of advancement in video, data and voice services is changing the way Kansans live — delivering more choice, convenience and control than ever before. This commitment to broadband deployment has empowered Kansas consumers by offering them flexible options to serve their entertainment, information and communication needs.
